What we collect
When you join the early-access list we ask for your first name and your email address. That is the whole form.
Like any website, ours also receives your IP address, browser and device type, and the time of your visit. We use that to keep the site running and to block abuse.
What we do with it
We email you when Melaning opens. Nothing else. We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone who will.
Who else handles it
A few companies handle it so the site and the list work: Neon (our database), Vercel (which hosts our website and runs our sign-up endpoint), and Resend (email).
We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Melaning is based in the United States and your information is stored there. If you are in the UK or the EU, that means it leaves your region. We keep it until you ask us to remove it.
Your rights
Email hello@melaning.com and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. There is no charge, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to object, to restrict how we use your information, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale; we do not sell personal information. You must be at least 16 to join the list.
Contact
hello@melaning.com. We answer within 30 days. If this policy changes in a way that affects information we already hold, we will email you before it takes effect.
